Our handcrafted mandala stamps are available in four sizes. They are compatible with standard ceramic tile cutters and can be perfectly combined with each other. The beautiful designs are very intricate to create and therefore somewhat more expensive than our other stamps. The stamps also need to be a minimum size to fully showcase the fine details. The larger the stamp, the more detailed the impression. Unlike the many 3D-printed plastic stamps on the market, our mandala stamps are deeply milled and have beveled edges. This allows them to be easily removed from clay, and the impressions look incredibly three-dimensional. The clay stamps are made of solid hardwood: cherry, beech, oak, etc., sourced from sustainable European forestry (FSC certified) and manufactured in Germany. After use, clean sparingly with warm water and allow to dry slowly. They should then be treated with linseed oil or tung oil. Even if the stamp block appears lighter again, treating it with oil is a good idea and will restore the wood to its full beauty. Treated this way, they will last for generations. Very clear results on clay are achieved when the clay is somewhat dry and no longer smearing. Then, gently and evenly tap the stamp into the clay with a rubber mallet. With a little practice, you can achieve perfect impressions on slabs. But of course, many other methods work, such as filling a light sock (or something similar) with cornstarch and lightly dusting the surfaces to be stamped. This way, the stamp can also be used effectively on very fresh clay. It also works on polymer clay for jewelry making.
